ENIGMA DISCLAIMER

BY PURCHASING OR PLACING A DEPOSIT ON AN ENIGMA LEOPARD GECKO,
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING

Picture

It is the buyer’s responsibility to more thoroughly research this morph before purchase.

Enigma is a beautiful dominant mutation that causes evenly distributed pigment, circular or spotty pattern, extreme color saturation, orange pigment in/around the eyes, and amazing color contrast.

However, they also occasionally can develop with Enigma Syndrome (neurological disorder affecting the equilibrium).

We advise keeping Enigma leopard geckos in darker areas (no super bright shop lights or heat lamps; average room lighting is normally fine), as well as areas with no loud noises (music, power tools etc).
Enigmas can develop Enigma Syndrome at any point in their lives, though most of the time it seems to be stress-related, and it can come and go.

We will disclose ON THE AD if any of our Enigmas for sale are exhibiting even the slightest symptoms, along with their displaying characteristics.
Furthermore, we WILL NOT SELL ONE AT ALL if it is displaying severe symptoms or having trouble doing the things a normal gecko should be able to do. Such animals will remain here, or be "petted out" to some of our trusted outlets.

We take pride in the health and quality of life that our Enigmas have, and strive to produce the best.

We are NOT responsible for the development of syndrome after the gecko leaves our hands - this includes if it develops during shipping. Please do not hesitate to let us know if something arises, though! We are ALWAYS happy to help and assist our customers!!

Also, feel free to ask for a VIDEO of an Enigma Leopard Gecko you are interested in, and we will happily oblige when we get a free moment!

NOIR DESIR DISCLAIMER

Noir Desir is currently the newest eye mutation found in Leopard Geckos. It generally displays as beautiful eye pigment/tissues ranging from some black, to all black, to black and white marbling as the gecko ages. Odd-shaped pupils are also an indicator. It is our theory that Noir Desir is essentially a mutation causing an excess and/or lack of ordinary eye tissues. The body color can also be darker or have higher color saturation. Often, banding as a baby can also be observed.
“Moon Eyes” is a phenotype that can be found in Noir Desir, when a good amount of white pigment/tissue is over/throughout the eye, creating a moon- or planet-like appearance. It is our theory that often “Moon Eye” Noir Desir may be vision impaired, as the excess tissue covers and interferes with the pupil, and is in the way of the geckos’ vision. We currently do not intentionally breed for Moon Eye, as we are still looking into this theory before attempting to recreate the look.
“Black Eyes” or “NDBE” is also a common name for the Noir Desir gene, in general. We personally use "Black Eyes" as a phenotype descriptor (much like Moon Eyes) when the gecko has black eyes.

Occasionally: eye crinkles can occur, as can sunken eyes, bulging eyes, overlapping eye tissue at the corners, and/or elongated or flatter skulls. These changes often initially appear or progress as the gecko grows and matures, and are not always present on a young juvenile or hatchling.
Our price will reflect the current appearance of the animal, but we are not responsible for how it may change as it grows.
We have not observed any hindrance or quality of life issues caused by this mutation in our own breeding animals, and we continue to breed only the best individuals.

We also recommend pairing *het* Noir Desir females when breeding, as some visual females have been observed to occasionally have fertility issues.
We are not responsible for a female being infertile and/or unbreedable, as it is out of our control and impossible for us to predict. Our price will reflect this possible defect on ALL visual females that are posted for sale.

Feel free to ask for eye and face photos of a Noir Desir Leopard Gecko that you are interested in, and we will be happy to oblige!
